A thank you letter to Santa!

Oh wow! What more can I say? Santa has been absoultely fabulous to NANNA's animals this Christmas and a big thank you goes out to EVERYONE who has donated, money, food and blankets, what a fantastic lot you are.

 xXx

You will see at the bottom of the page what we have been given by people this Christmas, but it has gone up through donations still coming in!

A £3000 donation helped make our Christmas appeal raise over £5000 and we still have money promised so we could see as much as £6000 raised this Christmas.

I know that £3000 is a huge donation and we will not get anything like it next year but it was a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

We have also been given a 20' or 40' Storage Container which is going to help store all the wonderful gifts and bric a brac you give us, plus all the blankets and towel, beds and climbing post for the animals. Brilliant, this means Ann and I can have some of our homes back, ok we will possibly fill the space with animals but hey!

Ann has been given 10 new Hedgehog pens which has allowed her to take in more hedgehogs this year and they are plastic which means they are easier to keep clean.

An extra bonus was another Charity has also said they will get the horse lorry on the road for us to do our fund-raising with. The lorry actually belongs to Michael but it is used for NANNA to transport all the animals to fund-raising event. This year we will be using it for Castle Ashby Fair, W'boro Carnival, Quad Bike UK Show, Rushden Cavalcade and many other events that are in the pipe line. Thank you xXx

No-one at NANNA's can say thank you enough for everything, but thank you, thank you, thank you.

We have just been told that Northampton University has raised £3000 for NANNA. Wow!

Another big thank you goes to Northampton University but not only for the money but also for the wonderful volunteers we have been lucky to get from the University. Money is always needed, but so are volunteers and without one there is no point in the other!

Also the children at Friars school made some gifts and they raised £255 on sales of those gifts and they have given the money to NANNA animals!

Thank you children xXx

A letter to Santa

We were asked the other day to just state what we needed, it sounds quite simple really, but when I tried to write down what we needed it was hard to decide what would take priority!

There is soooooo much that NANNA needs and the first thing we need is to make sure we have enough money in the bank at the beginning of the month to pay the bills at the end of the month.

We need £3500 a month on average and we have £20 a month by direct giving through the bank by two wonderful supporters. The rest we fund-raise for, every week of every month, we would still need to fund-raise but how wonderful it would be to have the money sitting ready to pay the bills!

Now that is what I would call bliss and a gift of a life time.

The next gift would be an old metal lorry trailer, strange gift I know but still needed. This would be used for storage down the farm, allowing us the keep all our brica brac, tombola's, cages, hutches food dishes, water bottles, banner and tackle all under one roof, dry and safe.

Another gift would be the four outside pens for the cats and then start raising the funds to to replace the next four.

Another gift would be the funds to cat proof the garden, so the little cats can have playtime out of their pens without the fear of them getting lost or hurt.

To cat proof the front garden for the poorly kittens/cats so they can play out side on a sunny day without harm to them or the neighbours cats because they would not meet and pass illnesses over to them.

Another gift would be to replace the carpet in the unit for lino or tiles making it easier to keep clean from accidents. Dried cat pee stinks, but we love them.

Replace the carpet at Ann's in the isolation room for the same reason

Another gift would be some indoor pens for the Hedgehogs to take them through winter and release pens for the spring.

The last gift would be for Michael, Carla and I to find a farm to rent where all the animals could live altogether. We don't want to  could not afford it, we just want to rent somewhere and then NANNA could use it free of charge, keeping the Charities bills down to a minimum.

So if Santa is out there look at our site, please look kindly on NANNA and the animals this Christmas, we will have over 150 staying this Christmas some looking for new forever homes, others staying forever due to being on life time medication or just to poorly to move on.

If you would like to do a direct monthly giving please contact us on 01933 650372 or nanna04@btinternet.com and we will send you a standing order form which you have full control over.

Or you can donate by paypal, it's so easy and by giving freely it means so much to the animals and it will allow NANNA to keep helping the them.

Donations received so far £4335

(Another £1665 and next months bill are paid before we get them, so our first wish is getting there).

We have also been promised two 20' shipping containers (Wish No.2)

Ann is getting some hedgehog cages. (Wish No. 8)

We have also been sponsored to get our horse lorry on the road so we can use it for fund-raising.

What a fantastic Christmas this is going to turn out to be and what a wonderful way to start a new year for NANNA and the animals.

The animals at NANNA wish you all

Seasons Greetings
